Small-batch sourdoughs, flaky pastries, and loaves crafted by hand — each one a quiet act of devotion, right here in the heart of Tonopah.
Hand
crafted in small batches, every single day.
Bread of Life Micro-Bakery was born from a simple conviction: that the best bread is made slowly, with intention, and shared generously. Nestled on S 356th Ave in Tonopah, our small kitchen produces nothing but what we'd serve our own table.
Every loaf begins with a naturally leavened starter — some of our cultures have been nurturing for years, fed and folded with patience. We mill nothing industrial, bake nothing rushed. What comes out of our oven is honest food, shaped by hand and rooted in community.
Whether it's a crusty sourdough for your morning ritual or a buttery pastry for a Sunday gathering, we bake so that something good finds its way to your table.

Made with Love
Each item is baked fresh daily in small quantities. What's available depends on the season, the starter, and what feels right that morning.
A beautifully crackled crust enclosing an open, airy crumb. Our house starter gives it a gentle tang that only time can develop.
Twenty-seven layers of French butter and laminated dough, folded by hand until every bite shatters into golden, fragrant flakes.
Stone-ground whole wheat with a deep, nutty flavor. Dense enough to sustain, tender enough to disappear with a pat of butter.
Soft, spiraled dough rolled in Ceylon cinnamon and brown sugar, finished with a vanilla bean glaze that sets just enough to hold.
Pillowy focaccia dimpled with olive oil, studded with Kalamata olives and fresh rosemary, baked until the edges turn crisp and dark.
Enriched with butter and eggs, these buns are impossibly soft with a golden sheen — perfect for sandwiches or simply split and buttered.
Selection varies daily. Call ahead to reserve your favorites.
Every morning begins with tending our cultured starters — feeding, warming, and awakening the wild yeast that gives our bread its character.
Flour, water, salt, and culture come together by hand. The dough is folded repeatedly over several hours to build structure and depth.
Shapes rest overnight in the cold. This slow fermentation develops complex flavors and a crumb structure that quick methods can never match.
Into the hot deck oven, where steam creates that signature crackling crust. Baked until deep amber, then cooled and shared with care.
